Creep LA Spins Lore
Amazon’s new series “Lore” is coming to life in a whole new way thanks to the fine fiends over at Creep Los Angeles. If you’re in the Southern California area, you’re gonna be in for a neat spooky treat this Halloween season!
From the Press Release:
Brought to you by Just Fix It (JFI) Productions, the creative minds behind Creep LA and The Willows, comes a truly unique immersive experience imagined from the world of Amazon Prime Exclusive’s upcoming series “Lore” – derived from Aaron Mahnke’s popular “Lore” podcast, which averages five million monthly listens.
Taking place at Magic Box LA (1933 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90007; with entrance to Creep LA: Lore located at 986 Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007) in Downtown LA on select dates from October 5th through November 12th, thrill-seekers are invited to step into an altered world where folklore comes to life. Whereas fear is best kept buried, Creep LA embraces the folklore to unveil the frightening truth: The scariest stories are often rooted in truth. In this space, stories aren’t just tales around a campfire, but an experience that will creep inside and leave you haunted.
The upcoming Amazon Prime Exclusive’s new series “Lore” is a six-episode anthology series (streaming globally on Amazon Prime beginning October 13th) that presents the frightening and often disturbing tales based on real people and events that have led to our modern-day myths and legends. Celebrating the origins of the horror genre, “Lore” explores the real-life tales behind pop culture’s most legendary horror myths, such as vampires, changelings, werewolves, séances, and possessed dolls. Creep LA will bring real-life historical events that birthed many folk tales which ultimately spawned some of our darkest nightmares to life, pulling inspiration and using elements from the show.
JFI Productions’ creator/producer Justin Fix said of collaborating with Amazon, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Amazon join us on this season. Creep LA’s experiences have always focused on the darkness of humanity and the human condition. There is no better opportunity than ‘Lore’ to focus on the past and the creation of these monsters we have grown to fear. While monsters are scary, the people behind the masks are the real danger.”
JFI Productions has also partnered with True Connection, a nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment through art, mediation, and SEL (Social & Emotional Learning), for the third season of Creep LA.
Upon entering Creep LA: Lore, handlers will guide groups of eight brave souls inside this imagined universe where groups travel through a fully engaging, multi-sensory, 1-hour walk-thru experience within a dynamic and diverse environment of moody rooms, intimate encounters, and terrifying scenarios. At Creep LA: Lore, everyone is part of the experience… whether they intend to be or not.
Past Creep LA experiences have received rave reviews and praised JFI Productions’ Justin Fix and his team, producing partner J.T. Swierczek, writer Daniel Montgomery, artistic director David Ruzicka, performance director Fione Rene, and choreographer Steph Turek, along with seasoned collaborators and their cast of top artists, for building unique spaces and delivering top-notch boundary-pushing experiences.
Now in its third season, Creep LA has continuously sold out their previous event series almost immediately upon going on sale.
Tickets for Creep LA: Lore are for ADULTS ONLY and scheduled to go on sale on Friday, September 15th, at 10:00 AM PT. Ticket prices start at $65. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit CreepLA.com.
