Knott’s Scary Farm Announces 2017 Line-Up
Halloween is nearly upon us, as we evidenced this week at the Knott’s Scary Farm Announcement Event. Read on for 2017 details.
Held at Knott’s Berry Farm (8039 Beach Blvd.) in Buena Park, California, from September 21 to October 31 and celebrating its 45th season this year, the attraction, created in 1973, will feature nine haunted mazes, four scare zones, two shows, and more than 1,000 monsters.
Newly unveiled for 2017 by the Knott’s creative team and presenter Jeff Tucker in the Ghoultime Theatre were the mazes Dark Ride: Castle of Chaos, in which park goers will explore an abandoned and homicidal carnival ride; Pumpkin Eater, a murderous journey replete with a 7-foot tall creature, and an intriguing refresh of fan favorite Trick or Treat. This year entitled Lights Out, guests will visit the Green Witch’s house in the dark, with only a faulty (meaning remotely controlled by park staff) flashlight to guide their way.
Other attractions will include The Red Barn, Carnevil, Ghost Town Streets, Paranormal Inc.: Case #13 – The Haunting of Hayden Hill, Voodoo: Order of the Serpent, Special Ops: Infected, Shadowlands, Timber Mountain Log Ride: Halloween Hootenany, and the always entertaining show The Hanging, this year entitled Fake Noose! (always the political send-up here).
And if that’s not enough to whet your Halloween appetite, this year will mark Elvira, Mistress of the Dark’s final appearance in her long-running review of the same name. We aren’t going to miss this icon’s Knott’s Scary Farm bow, and neither should you.
Ticket information is as follows: $75 at the gate and $40-$54 online. A Scary Season Pass will run you $90. For more info click here, and don’t forget to check them out at Knott’s Scary Farm on Facebook!
