Curtains Up on The Gallows 2

Remember when Adam Wingard’s The Woods was revealed to be Blair Witch at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con? That was pretty cool. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, Adam Green announced that what was billed as a screening of the original Hatchet was actually the secretly filmed fourth film in the franchise, Victor Crowley. That was fucking awesome.
Now, guess what? It looks like The Gallows 2 was not only filmed in secret but is already audience testing! Okay, who’s excited? Besides our own Ted Hentschke, that is, as he remains the only one I know who liked the first film. Anyone? Anyone? Come on, raise your hands! No, not you, Ted.
The secret was outed by ticketing website 1iota, which listed a screening for today on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, CA. They even had an early synopsis… well sort of.
Sequel to The Gallows. After aspiring actress Auna Rue transfers to a prestigious new school, her desires are twisted by a viral challenge capable of conjuring a malevolent spirit.
Ema Horvath, Brittany Falardeau, and Chris Milligan star. We’re working on confirming who directed, etc., but we’ve heard Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing, writers/directors of the original, are back for Round 2. When we learn more, we’ll let know!
