Terry O’Quinn Heading to Castle Rock
One of our favorite actors, The Stepfather himself, Terry O’Quinn, is heading to “Castle Rock”; and we have the early details on his character for you here.
Per Deadline, O’Quinn (“Lost,” “666 Park Avenue,” Silver Bullet) has been cast in a key role in Hulu’s upcoming psychological horror drama, which hails from JJ Abrams and Stephen King. He will play Dale Lacy, a pillar of the community in the town of Castle Rock.
O’Quinn joins the previously announced André Holland, Scott Glenn, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Lynskey, Jane Levy, and Bill Skarsgard.
“Castle Rock,” from Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television, is named after the fictional town in King’s native Maine that is featured prominently in a number of his novels, novellas, and short stories.
Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason developed “Castle Rock” and serve as executive producers alongside Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Liz Glotzer. The series will stream exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu, and Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution will distribute globally.
Synopsis:
A psychological horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, “Castle Rock” combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. “Castle Rock” is an original suspense/thriller — a reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.
