Takashi Miike’s Blade of the Immortal Is Action Fantasy Horror at Its Most Bonkers!

Magnet Releasing has just unveiled a new trailer for Blade of the Immortal, the 100th film from iconic director Takashi Miike (Audition, 13 Assassins). Billed as an action/fantasy epic based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Hiroaki Samura, the film is clearly going to appease any horror fan who is seeking gore and violence!

Written and directed by Miike, the film stars Takuya Kimura, Hana Sugisaki, Sôta Fukushi, Ebizô Ichikawa, Min Tanaka and Tsutomu Yamazaki. It comes to theaters on November 3rd.

Synopsis:
Samurai Manji has taken a lot of lives, both innocent and guilty, and now lives life in feudal Japan as a criminal. After being cursed with immortality until he kills enough evil men, Manji meets a young girl who enlists him to be her bodyguard. Swearing loyalty, protection, and vengeance against the group of sword fighters who slaughtered her family, the unlikely duo set out on a remarkable quest to make right against those who did them wrong.
