The Entire Saw Franchise Has Hit Amazon Prime
For the first time in seven years, this Halloween is Saw once again! On October 27th, Jigsaw, the eighth film in the franchise will be released and will continue the story of John Kramer’s legacy as Jigsaw. But for those of you who are feeling a bit rusty regarding the storyline, Amazon Prime has added the first seven films to their Prime Video, so you can binge through all of them at your heart’s content!
The first Saw came to theaters in 2004 and was directed by James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious), who co-wrote the film alongside frequent partner/collaborator Leigh Whannell. The film was a massive commercial and critical success, pulling in over $100 million on a budget of just over $1 million. Its success helped launch the franchise, which, as a whole, pulled in nearly $875 million, a number that will now grow thanks to Jigsaw and, depending on how that film goes, even more sequels.
For those of you with Prime, here’s a link to the seven titles.
