Exclusive: Gallery1988 to Host IT Art Gallery and We Have the First Piece of Art To Show You!
On August 31st, Gallery1988 will be host to an exhibit of IT-themed artwork in advance of Andy Muschietti’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s horror novel. The exhibit will run August 31st through September 3rd at Gallery1988 (7308 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA) between 11am and 6pm. To give you the first taste of the art you can see at this gallery, we’re excited to premiere Laz Marquez’ piece, which shows Pennywise standing in a field holding a red balloon while dozens of other balloons hover around him. Towards the top, a few of the balloons seem to be exploding into blood splatters, the color shockingly vibrant against the black and gray backdrop. You can see it for yourself below.
