Fantastic news as Anya Taylor-Joy has joined the cast of Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu remake, according to Variety. Taylor-Joy and Eggers worked together previously on The Witch. Eggers is writing and directing the Nosferatu remake.

The original 1922 film was heavily inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula to the point that the Stoker estate sued, won, and nearly had every copy of the film destroyed. To this day, there are still aspects of the film that are missing and will never be recovered.

Taylor-Joy is quickly becoming one of the leading faces in horror. After The Witch, she appeared in both the sci-fi/horror film Morgan and M. Night Shyamalan’s Split. Moving forward, she is set to appear in X-Men: New Mutants, which is being described as a full-fledged horror film.

Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus are producing the Nosferatu remake.
