Adam Green Hosting Free Hatchet Screening in Los Angeles

We wrote back in early July that Adam Green would be taking a new, never-before-seen cut of Hatchet on the road to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Now, Green has announced that he’s hosting a free event in Los Angeles a few days before the film’s tour starts in London! The event, which will take place August 22nd at the Arclight Hollywood, will feature stars from the film’s trilogy, a post-film Q&A, and a whole lot more.
Confirmed to attend are Adam Green, Kane Hodder, Parry Shen, Mercedes McNab, Joleigh Fioreavanti, Tamara Feldman, Richard Riehle, Derek Mears, Cody Snider, Tom Holland, Sid Haig, Caroline Williams, Sarah Elbert, Will Barratt, and more! Now, those are just people associated with the three Hatchet films. Also in attendance will be Dee Snider (Strangeland), Brian “Q” Quinn, Jonah Ray, Felissa Rose, Joy Lynch, Laura Ortiz, and more.
Since the event is free, people might be wondering how they’ll be able to attend. Here’s the skinny from Green: “The theater only holds so many seats and it is first come first serve. While showtime is expected to begin around 8pm, we’re told that the Arclight staff should begin seating fans around 7:15/7:30. So your best chance for admittance is to line up EARLY. Want to try and better your chances of getting in? Come dressed as your favorite HATCHET character, show us your love, and you could be moved to the front of the line before seating begins. This isn’t just an anniversary celebration, it’s our gift to the Hatchet Army for carrying “Victor Crowley” to icon status over the past decade and turning this indie slasher movie trilogy into a bona fide worldwide franchise. It’s going to be a madhouse so be among the most dedicated fans in line and you could find yourself moved up to the front of the entrance. Cosplay as your favorite character from the movies, wear your “Victor Crowley” Halloween mask, wear your ArieScope colors (HATCHET, HOLLISTON, MARROW, MOVIE CRYPT, ADAM GREEN, ARIESCOPE and other shirts will surely help get you noticed by our staff) and better your chances of getting in!”
Green also used this time to announce that there will be a, “… very special event when Adam Green and Kane Hodder (“Victor Crowley” himself) will return to New Orleans for a special Halloween night celebration to dismember!”
