The Trailer for mother! Is Pure Psychological Horror Chaos

The first full-length trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming horror/thriller mother! has been released and I was honestly rendered speechless after watching it. I honestly can’t think of another trailer that has had me so unsettled and yet so desperately intrigued to know more. From the premise of random strangers coming to this incredible home to the paranoia to the deceit and intrigue to the shot of THE ENTIRE DAMN NEIGHBORHOOD COMING BY FOR TEA AND CRUMPETS, I’m hooked and NEED this movie ASAP!
Throughout his career, Darren Aronofsky has proven that he’s capable of creating some of the most horrifying and terrifying films. Requiem for a Dream still gives me nightmares and Black Swan was an exercise in psychological fear. If mother! can live up to even a tenth of those films, we may very well have the most unsettling film of the year on our hands.
Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Stephen McHattie, and Kristen Wiig also star. mother! will be in theaters on September 15th.
Synopsis:
A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.
