With Shin Godzilla getting set to make its Blu-ray debut, there’s already talk of a sequel. When will the world be graced with another Japanese Godzilla flick?
Recently at G-Fest XXIV, Shin Godzilla co-director Shinji Higuchi let… the cat out of the bag? The monster out of the iceberg? The creature up from the sea? Oh, you know what I mean.
“A lot of people have questions. ‘When is the next Japanese Godzilla movie coming out?’ They cannot make it until after 2020,” Higuchi told the G-Fest audience.
Something to look forward to for sure!

Synopsis:
When a massive, gilled monster emerges from the deep and tears through the city, the government scrambles to save its citizens. A rag-tag team of volunteers cuts through a web of red tape to uncover the monster’s weakness and its mysterious ties to a foreign superpower. But time is not on their side—the greatest catastrophe to ever befall the world is about to evolve right before their very eyes.
