Remembering Romero – An Exclusive Video Tribute to George A. Romero

We’re still reeling from the news that George A. Romero has passed on at age 77. Right now, though, we have something wonderful to share with you.
Fourteen years ago Robert L. Lucas asked George to come and speak at Full Sail University in Florida. While there, Rob began putting together this video on Romero as means to honor his then still growing legacy. This video has never been seen publicly. What you are about to watch is a tribute put together officially just last night by Lucas and editor and co-collaborator Jess Bryden, and we are honored to bring it to you.
“Back in 2003, much to my excitement, George was gracious enough to agree to speak at Full Sail. I wanted to create a tribute video about George’s history up until that point. I brought the idea to Jess, and he executed all the editing and titles,” Lucas tells us. “I gathered all the archives and collaborated with Jess on piecing it together. I could not have done this without Jess. In this new version, Jess added the tribute closing and brought George’s filmography up-to-date. Jess is a talented filmmaker and one of us. George loved his work. This one is for George; we will continue to ‘stay scared.'”
