Yep, it’s that time again. Time for us to remind those of you not watching “The Vampire Diaries” that you’re missing out on one of the best, most unpredictable genre shows on TV. Coming up next week vamps, witches, and lycans prepare to do battle in the season’s penultimate episode, “The Sun Also Rises”. The question, however, is on whom is it about to set?

The Vampire Diaries Episode 21 “The Sun Also Rises” (5/5/11 Air Date):
THE SACRIFICE RITUAL BEGINS — With the arrival of the full moon, Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to prepare for whatever Klaus (guest star Joseph Morgan) has planned, and Tyler (Michael Trevino) faces his second transformation. The terrifying events quickly spin out of control, despite an unexpected act of courage. Finally Damon (Ian Somerhalder) admits the truth to Stefan (Paul Wesley) about a terrible new development they must face.

Steven R. McQueen, Sara Canning, Kat Graham, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig, and Matt Davis also star with a guest appearance by David Anders. Paul M. Sommers directed the episode written by Caroline Dries and Mike Daniels.
