New Hellboy Film to Be Distributed by Lionsgate

It’s looking very likely that Lionsgate will lock down distribution rights for Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, the upcoming reboot of the Mike Mignola-created series that was announced earlier this year. The studio is the same that brought us titles like Saw and The Hunger Games.

The adaptation will be directed by The Descent‘s Neil Marshall with “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour taking on the lead role. Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Mignola are writing the script.
The film is set to begin production this fall.
