Not long ago we told you that Relativity Media had found a new place to hang its hat, along with the bodies of hapless victims, in the upcoming horror flick The House at the End of the Street. Today we finally know when to expect it.
From the Press Release
Relativity Media announced today that US audiences can expect this one to hit theaters on February 3, 2012. Directed by Mark Tonderai (Hush) and written by David Loucka (Dream House), House centers on a teen girl (Jennifer Lawrence) who moves with her mom to a new town and learns that their home is next door to a house where a double murder took place. Complications ensue when the teen befriends the massacre’s sole surviving son (Max Thieriot). Genre favorite Elisabeth Shue costars as Lawrence’s mom.
This one has all the makings of a winner; it’s just a shame that it’s so far out at this point. This sounds like it would fit quite nicely in an early October release slot, but Relativity seems to have found a strategy that works for them. Hopefully this means good things are coming to us … since we’ll be waiting so long.
