Midsummer Scream Announces New Guests, Updates Film Festival, and Reveals Workshops

Long Beach’s Midsummer Scream has announced that they are adding House of 1,000 Corpses stars Sid Haig and Robert Mukes (Captain Spaulding and Rufus, respectively) as well as Barbara Magnolfi (Olga from Suspiria) to their special guest list. Furthermore, they’ve announced that their film festival, Screaming Room, has narrowed down submissions to a, “…number of curated short film blocks covering all types of horror, from kid friendly and fantasy themed treats, to blood and gore drenched adult only fare.” The Screaming Room festival will also include, “…a slate of clips from Trick R Treat handpicked and with video introductions by writer/director Michael Dougherty, as well as “best of” selections from Etheria Film Night and Scary Endings.”
Lastly, several classes and workshops will be held at the event, with examples such as, “…learning how to properly use a Ouija board to turning your home into a haunted house“.
