First Blu-ray/DVD Release Info for the Ubaldo Terzani Horror Show

We’ve been talking about the Ubaldo Terzani Horror Show for some time now — through title changes, trailer debuts, and more. So we’re very happy to report release info is now available, at least for our Italian readers. The rest of us have to wait just a little longer.

Minerva Pictures Group is proud to announce the official release of Ubaldo Terzani Horror Show, the long-awaited second film by Gabriele Albanesi after The Last House in the Woods, the Italian cult film that was purchased and distributed in North America by horror guru Sam Raimi.
Ubaldo Terzani Horror Show tells the story of Alessio, a young director who is writing his first film together with Ubaldo Terzani, mephistopheles and charismatic writer of horror novels, which will drag the boy into a real spiral of nightmares and madness …
Suspended between the literary horrors of Stephen King and the surreal-splatter style of Lucio Fulci, the film marks the young Gabriele Albanesi as “the King” of the new wave of Italian horror cinema.
Ubaldo Terzani Horror Show was written and directed by Albanesi and stars Giuseppe Soleri as Alessio Rinaldi, Paolo Sassanelli as Ubaldo Terzani, and Laura Gigante as Sara, Alessio’s girlfriend. The special effects are by Italian “Wizard of Gore” Sergio Stivaletti, who also collaborated with Albanesi on The Last House in the Woods, so you can be sure there will be no shortage of the red stuff.
The film will be released in Italy on April 20, 2011, by Sony Pictures and Minerva Pictures for rental on DVD and Blu-ray and then on May 15 for sale. Both discs contains many special extras, all with English subtitles:
– Making-of with interviews (35 minutes)
– Audio commentary of Gabriele Albanesi with the film critic Antonio Tentori
– Audition of actress Laura Gigante
– Trailer 1 and Trailer 2
– Short film “Braccati” (“Hunted”, 2001) by Gabriele Albanesi
– Italian 5.1 audio with English subtitles
