Well, it’s official! Saw: Legacy has been renamed Jigsaw and will be hitting theaters on October 27, 2017!

Not much is known about the film or its plot, but there have been rumors that a majority of the film will take place in a farmstead that is outside the nameless city in which the original seven movies took place. There’s a synopsis, but it’s so vague and without detail that it really can be taken anywhere, which is probably the most exciting thing about this film. The potential is off the charts, and I’m very eager to see what they’re going to do with it!

Tobin Bell, Mandela Van Peebles, Laura Vandervoort, Brittany Allen, Callum Keith Rennie, Matt Passmore, Hannah Emily Anderson, Josiah Black, Shaquan Lewis, Michael Boisvert, and James Gomez star. Brothers Peter and Michael Spierig (Daybreakers, Predestination) direct from a script by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfiner (Piranha 3D, Piranha 3DD, Sorority Row).

Jigsaw has been rated R for “grisly bloody violence and torture.

Synopsis:
Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. Or has an apprentice picked up the mantle of Jigsaw, perhaps even someone inside the investigation?
