Tribeca 2011: Another Look at Grave Encounters

default-featured-image

It was last November, 2010, when we got our first look at The Vicious Brothers’ new cinéma-vérité style feature film, Grave Encounters. With the flick set to make its world premiere at Tribeca 2011, we have a new still to share.

Grave Encounters, one of the nine titles Tribeca Film plans to release theatrically, on video-on-demand, and via other platforms throughout the coming year (click here for more info on that), stars Sean Rogerson, Merwin Mondesir, Ashleigh Gryzko, Mackenzie Gray, and Juan Riedinge.

The new still, a promo trailer, and poster art can be found below the plot crunch. For more revisit our prior story from the 2010 American Film Market, and also check out the official Grave Encounters website and “like” Grave Encounters on Facebook.

Synopsis:
Lance Preston (Sean Rogerson) and the crew of “Grave Encounters”, a ghost-hunting reality television show, are shooting an episode inside the abandoned Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital, where unexplained phenomena have been reported for years.

All in the name of good television, they voluntarily lock themselves inside the building for the night and begin a paranormal investigation, capturing everything on camera. They quickly realize that the building is more than just haunted – it is alive – and it has no intention of ever letting them leave. They find themselves lost in a labyrinth maze of endless hallways and corridors, terrorized by the ghosts of the former patients.

They soon begin to question their own sanity, slipping deeper and deeper into the depths of madness, ultimately discovering the truth behind the hospital’s dark past… and taping what will be their final episode.
