Artist Creates Incredible Alien: Covenant-Themed Cake AND Photoshoot
Next Friday sees the release of Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott’s sequel to Prometheus and semi-prequel to the 1979 sci-fi/horror classic Alien. For many, it’s a fascinating opportunity to learn more about the world of Weyland-Yutani and their seemingly desperate search for the Xenomorph. For others, it’s a way to see a different side of the world they have grown up with. For me, it’s more horror/sci-fi goodness, which is always a good thing!
To celebrate the impending release, photographer and stylist Christine H. McConnell teamed up with the Alien: Covenant crew to create some amazing themed baked goods as well as shoot them in a relevant setting. The end result is great, with the cakes (and cake pops…mmmmm, cake pops) looking fantastic and the visual aesthetic of the shoot perfectly matching Scott’s universe. You can see examples below.
