The name Kathleen Crowley may not be instantly recognizable, but if you’re a fan of low-budget 1950s horror movies, then you’ve surely seen her. Ms. Crowley, who won the title of Miss New Jersey and was a finalist in the Miss America pageant in 1949, passed away Sunday, April 23rd, at her home in Green Bank, N.J., per THR. She was 87.

Along with numerous TV guest spots on shows like “Batman,” “Perry Mason,” “Bonanza,” and “Maverick,” Crowley appeared in such films as Target Earth, Curse of the Undead, and The Flame Barrier as well as horror anthology series “Matinee Theatre” and “Thriller.”

Kathleen is survived by her husband, John Rubsam; her son, Matthew, and his wife, Stacey Rubsam; and her granddaughter, Samantha.

We here at Dread Central send Ms. Crowley’s friends and family members our condolences. Thanks for the memories, and godspeed!
