Van Helsing Season 2 Cast Expands with Caroline Cave in a Recurring Role

Syfy’s “Van Helsing” has been a fun ride so far, and if you’re among those who are anxiously awaiting Season 2, we have some casting news to tide you over until the series returns…

Caroline Cave has been cast in a recurring role for the second season of “Van Helsing.” Cave (“Cra$h & Burn,” “Aftermath,” Story of a Girl) will play Jolene, Vanessa Van Helsing’s wary friend who supports the cause against the vampires. She will work as second-in-command of a small group of Resistance fighters assigned to protect a field hospital.

“Van Helsing” is set in the near future, where vampires have risen and taken control. Vanessa Van Helsing, played by Kelly Overton (“True Blood”) is humanity’s last hope, as her unique blood composition gives her the ability to turn vampires human.

Neil LaBute returns as showrunner for the series produced by Nomadic Pictures (“Fargo,” “Hell on Wheels”). Season 2 is currently in production in Vancouver, BC, so look for more info soon!
