Jenn Wexler’s thriller/horror film The Ranger, which began principal photography this week in New York, has added Jeremy Holm (“Mr. Robot”), Chloe Levine (The Transfiguration), and Amanda Grace Benitez (All Cheerleaders Die) to its cast. They join the already confirmed Granit Lahu, Jeremy Pope, and Bubba Weiler.

The Ranger marks the feature-length directorial debut of Wexler, who has produced such films as Most Beautiful Island, Darling, Psychopaths, and Beneath. It was written by Wexler and Giaco Furino.

Glass Eye Pix, Larry Fessenden’s production company, and Hood River Entertainment, from Andrew van den Houten, are the production companies behind the movie. Wexler, van den Houten, and Ashleigh Snead are producing for the latter while the former sees producers Fessenden and Heather Buckley attached.

Synopsis:
The Ranger follows a group of teen punks who get in trouble with the cops. The kids escape to the woods to hide out, where they come up against the local authority, an unhinged park ranger with an axe to grind, hell-bent on preserving the serenity of his forest.
