Alienate Looks Like a More Action-Packed Invasion of the Body Snatchers

The sci-fi thriller Alienate has received a release date of May 5th, when it will come out in select theaters as well as hit VOD platforms. The film itself, as I mentioned in the headline, looks like a more action-packed storyline set within the Invasion of the Body Snatchers universe, which I’m kinda cool with. Personally, I’d love to see more films take the world of other movies and set a new story within. Y’know, kinda like what J.J. Abrams is doing with the Cloverfield universe. If done well, I think it could become a new trend that isn’t a shared universe, reboot, remake, or sequel.

Alienate was directed by Michael Shumway and stars Blake Webb, Tatum Langton, and Jaclyn Hales.
Synopsis:
At the end of his marriage, David leaves on a business trip to give his wife much-needed space. When airplanes start mysteriously falling out of the sky and cell towers fail across the nation, he finds himself trapped. The Earth falling to an alien invasion, David fights to return to whatever is left of home.
