This Garfield-Themed Video Is a Slow Descent Into Madness That Ends in a Surreal Nightmare

When it comes to innocent comics, I think we can all agree that Jim Davis’ Garfield ranks pretty high up there. Sure, both Jon Arbuckle and Garfield the Cat can be a little abusive towards each other, but I don’t think anyone can deny that the comic is aimed at an all-ages demographic.
On YouTube there’s a channel called lasagnacat, a name that’s an obvious play on the fact that Garfield absolutely adores lasagna. However, this channel is NOT for all ages. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that it’s one of the most surreal and wildly unpredictable channels on YouTube.
Below is a video that requires a bit of explanation. What happened was the channel put out a request for people to call an 800 number and tell them their name and how many sexual partners they’ve had. These audio clips were then integrated into the video, which clocks in at nearly five hours long. At first it seems like a very repetitive video, which it is. Jon, Garfield, and Odie each take turns hearing a knock at the door, opening it, and listening to an audio message. As the video goes on, the sun starts to set; and the color changes from bright and cheerful to a beautiful dusk.
Suddenly, at 4:33:50, everything shifts from a comical, yet seemingly unending torrent of people offering their sex number to a surreal and terrifying trip that simply cannot be explained. I warn all viewers that the content starting at that time is NSFW so watch it at your own peril!
