Parental grief is a very real and very powerful emotion. For many parents, the thought of having to bury a child is the worst fear they can envision. But what should a parent do when they lose a baby, have to raise another one, and deal with a malevolent demon at the same time?

That’s the basis of Still/Born, the upcoming supernatural horror/thriller from director Brandon Christensen. It’s a film that we’re told is about a woman dealing with postpartum psychosis and has lost her ability to discern between what is real and what is in her head. To give you a taste of what’s to come, we got our hands on two exclusive stills from the film, which you can see below. There’s also another still below that was released months ago.

The film stars Christie Burke, Jesse Moss, Rebecca Olson, Jenn Griffin, Sheila McCarthy, and Sean Rogerson. Also appearing are Dylan Playfair, Jayson Therrien, and the ever incredible Michael Ironside!

Still/Born is Christensen’s directorial debut and it was co-written by Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters, Grave Encounters 2, Extraterrestrial, It Stands the Sands Red). It will have its market debut at Cannes this May.

Synopsis:
Still/Born follows Mary, a new mother who lost one of her twins in childbirth. As she struggles with the loss of one of her children, she starts to suspect something sinister is after her surviving child – a supernatural entity that has chosen her child and will stop at nothing to take it from her.
