Revisit Bruce Campbell’s Charming and Hilarious Extras From Evil Dead Regeneration

In 2005, THQ released the action hack and slash video game Evil Dead Regeneration, which followed Ash Williams (voiced by Bruce Campbell) and his commitment to the Sunny Meadows Asylum. As the game progressed, players would take Ash and team up with Sam (voiced by Ted Raimi) to fight their way through various stages like a cemetery, an abandoned mine, a swamp, and more. It wasn’t the most well-received game but there was a certain charm to it nonetheless, buoyed heavily by the wonderful voice performances of Campbell and Raimi.
One of the great things about the game was that as you played through, you unlocked extras of behind-the-scenes images and footage. Several of these clips were of Campbell talking about various stories related to the Evil Dead universe. For example, this was back when Freddy vs Jason vs Ash was still on the table, which Campbell admits to. However, he compared the possibility of it happening to the quest for peace in the Middle East. Another example is the discussion of an Evil Dead 4, which he explained would require calling Sam Raimi and telling him to pass on Spider-Man 2.
Those were only two examples and the full set of extras can be seen in the video below. And for a little bonus content, I’ve also included the commercial for Evil Dead Hail to the King, which features a cameo from Campbell!
