Films about exorcisms went through a really cheesy period for a while, but lately the sub-genre has been killing it on TV/VOD. With the quality of the rebooted “The Exorcist,” Cinemax’s “Outcast,” and even “Crazy Face” on Netflix, people can’t get enough of watching other folks tangle with demons. So the new film Holy Terror could be coming out at the perfect time!

There’s a March 28th premiere happening in Los Angeles that we have more info about below along with all the other details you could want about the film.

From the Press Release:
Holy Terror, from production house CineRidge Entertainment (Samurai Cop 2), was developed by writer/director Rich Mallery (Sociopathia, 2015). The film stars Mel Novak (Game of Death), Vida Ghaffari (“The Mindy Project”), Kristine DeBell, Lisa London, Kelly Reiter, and more.

The film’s story involves an exorcism gone very wrong. A family have lost their son, but they still want to make contact. Once they bring in the help of a medium, they connect with their deceased son. But they also make contact with a malicious demon. This demon crosses over and possesses their daughter, leaving everyone vulnerable to further possessions.

Holy Terror is slated for a theatrical launch in Los Angeles at the Laemmle NoHo 7 on March 28th (RSVP on the Facebook event page). The film will be available through Amazon Prime beginning April 1st with a wider release to follow.

Mallery says, “Holy Terror works on deep psychological levels… and this is a completely different type of film!”

Synopsis:
Believing their deceased son isn’t at peace, Molly and Tom ask a medium to make contact. But after they invite a vengeful demon to cross over, the couple must enlist the help of a disgraced priest to attempt a dangerous exorcism.
