Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant is fast approaching, and fans of the franchise that began in 1979 are reaching near fever-pitch levels awaiting its release. The film, which is a continuation of Prometheus, promises to bring us one step closer in our understanding of the events that took place before Alien that led to the crew of the Nostromo landing on LV 426.

A new mashup trailer has been released that takes audio from the Alien: Covenant trailers and places it over footage from Alien, creating an interesting dynamic between the two films. It’s not flawless (some of the lip syncing is off) but the amount of work that went into it is obvious and the final result is pretty great.

I’d give it a watch for shits and giggles, but don’t expect it to offer any new insight into the story of the franchise. This one’s just for fun!
