Nicholas Nash’s captivating debut novel, The Girl at the Bar, was released in February by Fireflies Publishing; and it has all the ingredients of a page-turner: a steamy encounter that turns into a mysterious disappearance, a cast of characters that make you both root for and loathe them, and a beloved “whodunit” narrative with a contemporary twist.

With a description like that, of course we wanted to make you guys aware of it! If you like what you see, you can order it now from Amazon.

An avid mystery reader, Nash crafted The Girl at the Bar with careful thought as to what he personally enjoys when reading a suspense novel and incorporated those elements to craft the perfect thriller. “A riveting mixture of city backdrops, mental health and questionable memory, money-hungry powerhouses, and the fascinating world of medical research. My hope is that The Girl at the Bar draws the reader in until the very last page,” Nash says.

Synopsis:
Rebecca Chase, a brilliant cancer researcher, disappears without a trace after a one-night stand with a neurotic man, Ragnar Johnson, who has a questionable past. Her sudden disappearance in the middle of a high-stakes quest to cure cancer between two billionaires sets into motion an inexplicable chain of events as the bodies start to pile up.

No one knows why Rebecca disappeared, whether she’s alive, and, if she is alive, where she might be. The race to find answers ensnares everyone around her – one of whom is a deeply disturbed psychopath lurking in the shadows.

Nash surprises at every twist and turn, ending chapters with cliffhangers that keep readers furiously turning the pages. Is Rebecca still alive? What happened to her? Who did it? Why? The trouble is that no one can be trusted, and no one is above suspicion.
