Teaser Trailer for The Day Explodes onto the Interwebs

Ah, the apocalypse. You’re such a tease! When will you rear your head? 2012? When the horsemen come back? In time for the rapture? Whatever your beliefs or lack thereof, there’s no denying that the prospect of the world’s end is a pretty intense one. The trailer for the latest flick looking to blow up the outside world, The Day, has hit the Net, and as always we have a look at it here for you!
Doug Aarniokoski (second unit director work on Takers, Resident Evil: Extinction, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) is behind the camera for the flick featuring an all-star cast including Shawn Ashmore (X-Men, Frozen, Mother’s Day, The Ruins), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), Cory Hardrict (Gran Torino, Battle: Los Angeles), Dominic Monaghan (“Lost”) and Shannyn Sossamon (Catacombs, One Missed Call).
The film is a visceral action thriller with moral depth spanning 24 hours during which the ensemble cast is pit against insurmountable odds. The intention is for The Day to be the launching pad for a franchise.
