HBO’s True Blood: Holiday DVD and Blu-ray Promo
Looking for the perfect holiday gift for the “True Blood” fan in your life? HBO has put together a very clever promo spot to remind you that while we’re still waiting for the third season to hit DVD and Blu-ray, “True Blood”: The Complete Second Season is available now on both formats.
The Season 2 Blu-ray release has triple the content of Season 1 with an even bigger and better enhanced viewing experience to feed your Truebie’s needs. The Blu-ray disc is presented in HD 1080p video and DTS-HD master audio. It contains all the bonus materials found on the SD version along with “True Blood” Enhanced Viewing on all 12 episodes. Enhanced Viewing provides an amplified picture-in-picture experience with original, interactive content that extends the fiction of the series. Four character perspectives come straight from the mouths of Hoyt, Pam, Karl, and Steve Newlin. Additional features include “Flashback/Flash Forward” – allowing the viewer to relive pivotal moments and revealing the significance of certain scenes; “Pro/Anti-Vampire Feeds” – news updates and information from the American Vampire League and the Light of Day organization that helps fans decide which camp they support; and “Hints/FYI” – featuring trivia facts, show hints, and clues. Additionally, viewers will also be able to skip from bonus event to bonus event as they watch an episode.
No Blu-ray? The SD release shares “Fellowship of the Sun: Reflections of Light”, “The Vampire Report: Special Edition”, and all the same audio commentaries from the cast and crew, including Alan Ball, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, Michelle Forbes, and more.
