Harry Potter’s Tom Felton Talks The Apparition

One flick we’re hoping stands a ghost of a chance at the box office next year is Todd Lincoln’s The Apparition. Though we revealed the first two images from the film last week, information has been pretty scant thus far. However, that changed a bit today.

In an interview with The LA Times star Tom Felton dropped the following on curious fans:

“It’s a sci-fi thriller with a dash of horror, and we shot it in Berlin,” Felton said of the film. “It’s based around the paranormal. Ashley Greene from the ‘Twilight’ films is the lead, and Sebastian Stan is in it. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. My character is the instigator of all the madness, all the experiments, and he’s in search of proof, and, of course, that leads to the downfall of the group. It’s kind of in the tradition of ‘Flatliners,’ but there’s more of a horror element there, and it’s very technological.”

The flick stars Ashley Greene (Twilight), Sebastian Stan (Black Swan, The Covenant), Luke Pasqualino, Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th, Altitude), and Tom Felton (Rise of the Apes, 13 HRS, The Disappeared).

Look for it in theatres September 9th, 2011.

Synopsis
“When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…”
