If there’s one thing we here at Dread Central can’t get enough of, it’s zombies. And the new director’s cut of Ian Messenger’s short film The Day the World Went Away promises not only more zombies but also more blood and more story. Check it out!

The film asks a very simple question: How far would you go to save (or for that matter keep alive) your son during the apocalypse? With flesh-eaters around every corner, it’s sure as hell going to be one daunting task.

Synopsis
“A man clings to the one thing in this world that is still pure and true. Surrounded in destruction, deception, and the armies of hell, one man and his infant son run the gauntlet of damnation to find one spot on the Earth that hasn’t been corrupted by the atavistic horror that has consumed humanity.”

Check out the teaser art by Cody Snyder below the video, and for updates as they happen, follow Messenger’s CatchMeKillMe Productions on Twitter and befriend CatchMeKillMe Productions on Facebook.
