The Weinsteins Acquire Shelter and Set a Date for Apollo 18

The Weinstein Co.The Weinsteins may be down, but you can never count them out. Some more news for two of their latest acquisitions has trickled in, and we’ve got all you need to know!

First off Bob and Harvey have nabbed the rights to Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein’s Shelter starring Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Myers and have scheduled a theatrical release for the long delayed thriller on February 25, 2011.

In addition to that they’ve also scheduled a theatrical release for Apollo 18, the sci-fi thriller based on the screenplay by Brian Miller, winner of the inaugural Astana International Action Film Festival screenplay competition, founded by Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov. The found footage film is filming now and will be in theatres on March 4th, 2011.
