Bioslime Becomes Contagion, Infects Web with New Trailer
John Lechago’s Bioslime is a little low budget horror flick I’m hoping will prove to be good deal of retro-style gooey gory fun. Now comes word that the film has a new trailer and with it a new title: Contagion.
Personally, I’m a little disappointed by the title change. Bioslime sounds a lot more distinct and fun than the generic Contagion. According to Fangoria, this was more a decision made to appease international buyers at the American Film Market. Lechago told Fangoria the following.
The switch was made at the Cannes film market earlier this year. “Since then, CONTAGION was offered as the alternative title for the international market, and every buyer seemed to prefer that one,” Lechago tells us. “We are making a point to include ‘John Lechago’s’ in the title–not because of my raging ego, but because there are actually a few movies out there called CONTAGION, including one coming up from Steven Soderbergh. Sorry, Steven!”
I’m sure Soderbergh is losing sleep over it as we speak.
If aren’t familiar with Bioslime/Contagion then have a look at the new trailer and see why maybe you should be a little giddy over this slime-a-thon.
