Amazing List of Directors Eyeing Lionsgate’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Who would have thought a little kitschy book would be the basis of a wellspring of top talent vying for a chance to bring its undead tale to the big screen? For Pride and Prejudice and Zombies this seems to be the case.
There have been many names circling the project to date, and offers are out to Scarlett Johansson, who’s in talks for the lead, along with Bradley Cooper (Case 39, The Dark Fields, Hangover), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Tilda Swinton (Adaptation, Constantine), but it’s not just the star power lining up.
According to The Wrap the list of possible directors is equally as impressive. David Slade (30 Days of Night), Mike Newell (Prince of Persia, Neil Marshall (Doomsday), Jonathan Demme, Matt Reeves (Let Me In, Cloverfield), Mike White (Year of the Dog) and the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller are all in the running and hoping to bring Seth Grahame-Smith’s revisionist novel to life.
Mind you, this is all speculation at this point, but you have to admit those are some pretty interesting names. We’ll keep an eye on how all of this shakes out for you!
