Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses Heads Back to Universal
It’s hard to believe that our favorite season is only a couple of months away. Pretty soon theme parks and haunted attractions will be popping up everywhere, and the granddaddy of them all, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, will be home to some really unexpected faces … namely, the Firefly clan from 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses!
The sick thing here (for those who don’t remember) is that Universal was the studio that made the film originally but then decided to sit on it because they felt it was too disturbing.
“When you think about it, it’s pretty cool and ironic since that’s the studio that originally made the movie but never released it. And now we’re back in the park doing this attraction,” Zombie tells website Noisecreep. “But it’s great, and they’re putting a lot of work into it so it’s going to be really awesome.”
Zombie continues, “Universal is doing it in 3D so you’ll wear glasses as you go through, and they’re doing full makeups on everybody in the house and all of the characters from the movie. It’s gonna be pretty amazing.”
Sounds pretty nifty! Congrats, Rob! Talk about coming full circle. Hit up the above link for the rest, and look for more on Halloween Horror Nights soon!
