San Diego Comic-Con 2010: The Walking Dead Series – Massive Spoilers

Our man Buz just cruised out of the round table interviews for “The Walking Dead” here at the San Diego Comic-Con and scored us the scoop on who will live to see Season Two of the AMC series based upon the Robert Kirkman comic book.
SPOILERS TO FOLLOW
For those of you who are familiar with the comic book, we all know that Rick’s best friend and partner, Shane, meets a very curious early demise in the comic’s blood-soaked pages. However, don’t expect him to meet his maker anytime soon in the television show. Darabont is a big fan of the love triangle among Rick, Lori, and Shane, and as a result the director/producer says to expect Shane to stick around for at least three seasons.
Another character to have increased longevity is Andrea’s sister, Amy, who we are told will make it to around the end of Season Two.
For many fans one of the highlights of the series is the prison story arc, and thankfully producer Gale Anne Hurd Has confirmed that we will see our survivors make it to the prison and beyond in the future.
Those are really the juiciest bits to come out of the table we were at as the rest of the questions from the mainstream press were along the lines of “So why do you like zombie movies?” We shit you not. *Shakes head*
