If Syfy keeps a list of monsters of myth, legend, and cryptozoology, after this weekend they can scratch “goblin” off the list. The new Syfy creature feature Goblin is set at Halloween time, so what better time for Syfy to premiere it than in the middle of July; this Saturday night at 9/8 Central.
A murderous, baby-stealing goblin comes to life on Halloween, setting his sights on an unsuspecting family. The teenage daughter must stop the goblin from stealing her baby brother before he becomes part of a goblinesque smorgasboard!
Goblin stars Gil Bellows of “Ally McBeal” and Donnelly Rhodes and Camille Sullivan, both of “Battlestar Galactica”. Jeffery Scott Lando (Decoys 2: The Second Seduction, House of Bones, Thirst) directs from a script by Raul Inglis (Syfy’s Sand Serpents and Cerberus).
Syfy has posted three brief clips from Goblin designed to entice viewers into tuning in. A 7-foot goblin dressed like the killer from Scream that stalks victims in the woods in broad daylight? My “Foydar” is getting a bad feeling about this one.
