SD Comic-Con ’10 Schedules Updated; Piranha 3D Panel Disappears!
Now that the programming for all four days of the beast known as the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con is live on the show’s official site, we’ve gone back and tweaked the daily schedules already posted here on DC. Most are minor additions or moves, but of considerable note are the disappearance of Piranha 3D from the Friday panels and the overall absence of Dimension Films.
In order to compensate for the removal of Piranha 3D from Friday morning’s panels, SDCC has pushed back Summit Entertainment’s Drive Angry 3D to 11:15-11:45 AM, giving fans a little extra time to get to the always packed Hall H. We do have a call in to Dimension’s reps about this change (as well as the glaring omission of Machete from this year’s SDCC), and if we learn more, we’ll be sure to pass it on.
As a result of Piranha 3D‘s no-show, those of you looking to spend some quality time with those toothy little bastards will have to console yourself with the 5:30-6:30 PM “Shout! Factory: Roger Corman: King of the Independents” panel that includes Joe Dante (director of the original Piranha) in Room 25ABC and/or Syfy/Chiller’s 11:00 PM-12:30 AM screening of Mega Piranha in Room 6A.
As this latest shuffle demonstrates, the schedule is always being updated, so be sure to check the official SDCC 2010 site for the latest, and keep it here as we bring you other horror highlights as soon as they’re available.
