TCA Summer 2016: CBS Renews Zoo for a Third Season

CBS announced today during the network’s presentation to the Television Critics Association’s 2016 Summer Press Tour a third season renewal of the hit series “Zoo” for broadcast during summer 2017. Currently in its second season, “Zoo” is this summer’s second most-watched original scripted broadcast.

The two-hour second season finale of “Zoo” airs Tuesday, September 6th (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT). The cast includes James Wolk (Jackson Oz), Kristen Connolly (Jamie Campbell), Billy Burke (Mitch Morgan), and Nonso Anozie (Abraham Kenyatta).

Based on the #1 bestseller by James Patterson, “Zoo” is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans across the planet. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios and distributed domestically by CBS Television Distribution and worldwide by CBS Studios International. Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg, Michael Katleman, James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leopoldo Gout, and Steve Bowen are executive producers.

The first season of “Zoo” is now available on Netflix in the US; Season 2 will be available September 14, 2016.
