Tristin Mays Returning for The Vampire Diaries Season 8

Fans of “The Vampire Diaries” can probably expect to see the return of several familiar faces during the series’ upcoming eighth – and final – season… Nina Dobrev, we’re talking to you! But before we have confirmation that Elena will be back to close things out, first among the old timers to sign on for Season 8 is Tristin Mays, aka Sarah Salvatore, a direct descendant of Damon and Stefan.
Mays tweeted the news a few days ago, and we should have more details as filming of the new season progresses.

The eighth and final 16-episode season of “The Vampire Diaries” will premiere Friday, October 21 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), with the finale date to be announced later. The series is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Outerbanks Entertainment, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, and CBS Television Studios.
