The Vampire Diaries Season 2: A Newcomer Heading to Mystic Falls
One of the MANY cliffhangers at the end of Season One of “The Vampire Diaries” was exactly what type of creature Mayor Lockwood and his son, Tyler, might be. According to executive producer Julie Plec, we’ll be finding out soon thanks to the addition of a new cast member to Season Two.
Plec tells TVguide.com, “Our big new addition is Mason Lockwood, the mayor’s much younger and cooler brother, who has been estranged from the family. His return introduces a lot of questions about what is so special about that creepy Lockwood family.”
No casting news for Mason has broken yet, but we’re expecting a flood of “TVD” announcements over the summer as filming resumes.
