While there’s certainly no shortage of zombie-oriented comedies on the market these days, only a handful of these endeavors can claim to be award-winning. Director Alex Drummond’s Killer Party (previously known as The Shower) has earned a few accolades, and you can see what all the fuss is about when it lands on VOD in August.

From the Press Release:
A group of clueless friends become trapped at a baby shower when a sudden zombie apocalypse threatens their lives. Waiting for help to arrive, it soon becomes clear that no one is coming and the group will have to use their limited urban survival skills to fight their way to freedom.

KILLER PARTY, an award-winning new zombie horror-comedy, will be released on VOD platforms everywhere on August 16th via Epic Pictures Group, the studio behind recent beloved, critically acclaimed genre films including Turbo Kid, Nina Forever, and Tales of Halloween.

Recalling zombie horror-comedies like Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland, KILLER PARTY is the directorial debut of Alex Drummond and stars Evan Gamble (American Sniper, “The Vampire Diaries”) and Stephanie Beran (Battle Force, Fatal Call).

Considering what a huge Turbo Kid nerd I am (literally and figuratively), Killer Party is a flick that’s sure to stay on my radar. If you’re at all interested, then check out the trailer and some extremely nifty artwork below.
