With next year’s Kong: Skull Island movie renewing interest in cinema’s most famous gorilla, now seems like the perfect time for the king of the apes to be given a all new adventure in print form.
Issue #1 (of 6) of the comic miniseries series Kong of Skull Island, from writer James Asmus and artist Carlos Magno, has just gone on sale (buy it from TFAW), and it serves as an original prequel story featuring the big ape.
Synopsis:
BOOM! is partnering with DeVito Artworks LLC to present this story, exclusively authorized and endorsed by the Cooper family as their official King Kong/Skull Island prequel and sequel origin story. Two fractured and combative civilizations are forced to band together as they venture onto Skull Island–their new home.
