FrightFest 2016: Downhill Trailer and Stills Promise Intense Cardio Cycling Session

After the recent announcement that writer-director Patricio Valladares’ satanic thriller Downhill would be screening at this year’s London FrightFest in August, the first trailer has landed… and it’s no ride in the park.
From a screenplay Valladares wrote with regular co-scribe Barry Keating, the film is described as “Cliffhanger meets Paranormal Activity” and stars Natalie Burn (Mechanic: Resurrection, The Expendables 3), Bryce Draper (Muck), Ariel Levy (The Stranger, The Green Inferno, Aftershock), Luke Massy (Thor, Green Street Hooligans 2), Ignacia Allamand (Knock Knock), and Matias Lopez (The Green Inferno, Aftershock).
Audiences can expect even more from Valladares soon as Downhill is just the first of three English-language features he shot last year. Currently in post-production he has the part horror, part found footage film Ghosts of Garip, shot on location in Istanbul, Turkey, and Nightworld, which he shot in Bulgaria with Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund.

Synopsis:
After his best friend dies in a racing accident, biking star Joe agrees to get back on the bike for an exhibition in Chile. During a test run with his girlfriend, Stephanie, they stumble upon an injured man infected by a mysterious virus. This is just the start of a very bad day for the two of them as they become the target of relentless killers prepared to do anything to keep their secret from getting out of the mountains.
