Xenomorphs Invade the Stage in Alien vs. Musical
If you ever watched one of the Alien films and decided that the only thing it was lacking was more singing and dancing, then not only are you completely insane, but a bunch of other people also share your insanity because they’ve gone ahead and created Alien vs. Musical.
Yep, the bizarre sounding performance takes place in a world where all your favorite musical powers live in peace and harmony, until a Xenomorph infestation breaks out. Guess it’s up the the likes of Beast, Danny Zuko, Elphaba, and the troublesome nun Maria to save the day.
I’m not making this up… this is actually a real stage production that was put together for LA’s Sacred Fools Theater, and you can buy your tickets here. There are only a few dates remaining so act quickly!
Synopsis:
What happens when the world of musical theater meets the most terrifying and destructive alien in all cinema history? Combining the spectacle and wonderment of a Broadway musical with the gruesome horror of extraterrestrial mayhem and terror, ALIEN VS. MUSICAL will find its way to your heart… literally!
Longtime friends and collaborators Steve Troop and Erik Przytulski had been looking for a new project to work on for many years. Steve had found recent success in developing his Puppet Design Studio, and Erik had been gaining ground in the world of musical theater (Pretzyl Music). After attending several shows at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, they decided to combine their efforts in creating a show with fun, high energy music and characters while bringing movie-studio quality creature and puppetry effects to a live performance environment: Alien vs. Musical!
