E3 2016: Detroit: Become Human Trailer Proves Quantic Dream Will Never Stop Making You Feel the Feels
Ever since 2005, David Cage has been my embarrassing nerd idol. I first played Fahrenheit when I was in England and was absolutely blown away by the bizarre story interwoven through several characters in an increasingly dramatic world.
What’s Fahrenheit, you ask? You heathens might know it better as Indigo Prophecy. This is one of the few things I’m genuinely snooty about. But you know what? I’m okay with that. We all get to pick what we are an insufferable entitled wank about, and I have decided that this is mine. And that’s okay because at least Quantic Dream games deserve it. It’s not like I do something truly stupid like memorize football statistics.
So, now that I’ve pissed off just about everyone, let’s take a look at the trailer for Quantic Dream’s next game, Detroit: Become Human:
I love how I didn’t even need to wait for the credits to know that it was a Quantic Dream game. Their style is so iconic that I can smell them from the first branching narrative interactive environment. Just by how the bodies are positioned and choices presented, I know that there must be at least like… 10 different conclusions to see.
There’s still a lot more information to be revealed, and I will make it my personal duty to make sure you get all the information. Or maybe I won’t! That’s the beauty of choice. Boom, blew your mind.
