Eibon Press’ Lucio Fulci’s Zombie Sells Completely Out in Less Than 24 Hours; Reprint Coming When?

Eibon Press has just announced that Issue #1 of its Zombie comic has sold out of its entire print run in less than 24 hours! This is a historic moment in gore film history, folks. The fans have spoken, and FULCI LIVES!

You’re going to really love the comic when it ships next month, too. We’ve seen the first issue, and it rocks like no comic book we’ve seen in ages! But we have some even better news for you . . .

Eibon has announced that there will be a re-printed SPECIAL EDITION of Issue #1 so that more fans can get an eyeful of this historic, innovative comic book. The second edition of Lucio Fulci’s Zombie #1 will be hitting at the same time Issue #2 does. Eibon Press co-founder Shawn Lewis explains:

“We had no idea people would be this crazy about these books. Last night they sold out so fast that it made our heads spin! So what we’re doing now is taking nearly every dime we’ve made and channeling it back into making more of these so we can be sure as many fans as possible have the opportunity to get one. We’ll be re-issuing ZOMBIE #1 in the same 1,000-copy print run, but this time we’ll have more signed copies available, about 500. And the second re-print edition will have different sleeve art, too, to make it unique from the first run. We’ll be offering that to fans at the same time we put up Issue #2 for pre-sale, so those who missed out the first time can have a chance to get the #1 reprint at the same time.”

Better still, Eibon plans to double their print runs, starting with Zombie #2.

“Again, we didn’t think there would be such demand, so for #2 we’ll have 2,000 copies, with 1,000 signed. That still keeps them limited and highly collectible, but we also reach a few more people. All I can say is that we’re working overtime to make the fans happy. We’re listening to what they say, and we want to give them what they want. We’re fans, too, and we aren’t in this for the money–we just want to make killer collectible comics that have never been seen before! And it’s important to us that we get them out there so that everyone who really wants one, gets one.”

Well, all we can add to that is this: Be sure to be first in line, folks. If last night was any indicator, these will sell out instantly also.

Issue #2 and the Issue #1 Reprint Special Edition will be available for pre-order in SEPTEMBER only at the Eibon Press website.
